چکیده:

A three dimensional numerical model of human bronchial airways (GI-G3) is constructed considering azimuthal angle between consecutive bifurcations. Reynolds averaged Navier-Stokes (RANS) and k-o turbulence model equations are solved to find the flow field. Nano-particles dispersion and deposition are studied using an Eulerian approach. The convection-diffusion mass transfer equation including Brownian effect is solved and concentrations of nano-particles are found. The results show that secondary flows have less effect on nano-particles transport compared with micro-particles. Also it is shown that flow field and concentration distribution are almost the same for tiny nano-particles and maximum deposition for 100 nm particles is smaller than that of 1 and 10 nrn particles.
