چکیده:

No-damage drilling is the ultimate goal of all construction activities, by providing a way to explore and produce the hydrocarbon reserves with minimum reduction of the natural permeability of the reservoir rock.
This paper re-visits the key damages mechanisms and provides a broad over view on how they occur during various oilfield operations and their effect on well productivity. In this paper formation damages are divided into two groups of natural and induced damages where after discussing each case and its effects on the productivity by the use of graphical presentation and case histories, prevention operations, remedies and latest technologies are introduced. It is concluded in this paper that applying a new technologies (in addition to their disadvantages) like UBD, Non-Invasive Fluid and Aphron Drilling Fluid is useful for controlling the formation damage and maintaining the well productivity.
