The competitive forces that human resource executives face today and will continue to confront in the future demand organizational success. The efforts to achieve such success through the focus on business strategy and strategic human resource planning and management are dre driven by the way a company gets this done and how they treat their employees. Strategic human resource management (SHRM) has an important role in those decisions. Recognizing that human capital is essential to attaining a competitive advantage in today s environment, a strategic sourcing model will be presented and discussed to assist human resource professionals in staffing decisions associated with specific business strategies. This paper will investigate business strategies and develop a framework for making sourcing decisions based on company s business strategy for competitive advantage.
