چکیده:

W thin films were deposited on soda lime substrate by DC magnetron sputtering in argon ambient. Then the reaction was carried out in a furnace with a horizontal quartz tube. The samples were placed in the furnace on an alumina boat. The heating temperature was 700 oC for 80 min in N2 with a constant flow rate of 400 sccm. SEM showed nanorods grow vertically with high density on the surface. The width and length of nanorods was measured ~50 nm and a few microns, respectively. In addition, nanobelts with several hundred nanometers in width and about the same thickness and length as the synthesized nanorods also grew at this temperature. It was found from XPS analysis that more than 70% of the surface tungsten was in W6+ chemical state. XRD analysis determined that the samples were mainly composed of crystalline Na0.33WO3 nanorods and nanobelts with [001] preferred orientation
