Silver nanoparticles (NPs) have attracted interest due to their wild ability for use as antibacterial material, in conductive paste and IR reflective coating. Different methods have been used for synthesizing Ag nanoparticles such as chemical, photochemical, electrochemical reactions and also laser ablation. We have employed photochemical method for the formation of Ag NPs. We have developed methods in which photosensitive materials which possess reducing properties under UV irradiation. We have used in this method a solution containing AgNO3, glucose and PVPas protective material were exposed by UV irradiation. The surface plasmon peak at 420 nm demonstrates presence of spherical Ag NPs in solution. By increasing irradiation period the observed position peak is red shifted to 440 nm and the spectrum get broader. In addition of irradiation time, intensity can affect the size of Ag nanoparticle. absorption spectroscopy has been used to study the silver nanoparicles formation.
