Lead zirconate titanate (known as PZT) is a solid solution with high spontaneous polarization, dielectric permittivity and piezoelectric coefficients. Therefore, there is an ever-increasing demand for this material in different forms such as bulk, thin films and recently nano-structures. In the current study, we have grown lead zirconate titanate nanotubes using porous anodic alumina membranes as the templates. The membranes were prepared in a cooled anodizing cell at 1ºC using various anodizing voltages and 10wt% phosphoric acid solution as the electrolyte.
