چکیده:

It is the objective of electric utility to supply its customer wit-, a sirusodal voltage of constant parameters. However,nonlinear systems,such as static power converters, electricarc furnaces,
Saturated transformers, and reactors, cause harmonic disterbances so as to change the sinusoidal nature of he supply voltage.
In this paper, current harmonics as the source of voltage distortion are investigated particularly, a sub-transmission network in Ahwaz, one of the major industrial districts in Iran, is analyzed. This netwrok has the significant charactristic that it contains all the major classes of harmonic producing devices (i.e., ferromagnetic, arcing, electronic converters for feeding steel mills) The actual present state of this sub-transmission network is presented and its status after introducing the waveform correction technique is investigated mathematically.
