Furnaces with heat recovery steam generators (HRSGs) can be found in most of new chemical process industries (CPI) plant. In this case which hot flue gases are used to generate steam, steam produced from the HRSG is mainly used for process applications. Because the temperature of exhaust gas to HRSG is high, it helps to generate highpressure/ high-temperature superheated steam. The HRSG forms a major part of the steam system and furnaces with high temperature flue gas and could increase the efficiency of the furnace. In Tabriz refinery it is possible to recover heat from CRU heaters and produce 18 ton/hr of HP steam (390 oC and 42 barg). 1.8 MM US$/year could be saved by investment of 2 MM US$ which pay back period is calculated less than 1.5 year.
