چکیده:

Alrealy at the beginning of the last century the first hybrid hybrid vehicles have been developed and tested. It needed nearly 100 years to bring the first hybrid vehicle into mass production.
This presentation will show the most important hybrid structures and discuss the mechanisms how they contribute to fule economy improvement, emissions reduction and performance increase.
In presenting the realization and results of two different concepts, one for a diesel hybrid engine and another for a hybridized downsized gasoline turbocharged engine will make the new technologies transparent. Their properties benefits and drawbacks will be discussed.
Finally an evaluation of the benefit-cost trade-off will be presented, which shows the significance of hybrid technology as an environmental friendly technology.
