چکیده:

This paper describes hydrodynamic simulations of noncavitating and super-cavitating (hereafter, SC) propellers. RANS simulations of flow around two different conventional and super-cavitating propellers were carried out using the multiphase flow model based on the “full cavitation model” proposed by Singhal et al. [1]. Modified Tulin hydrofoil was used for validation and the results of lift and drag are shown in good agreement with the experimental data. Then, it is extended to the cavitating and non-cavitating propellers in the steady and uniform condition. Numerical results are included pressure distributions and hydrodynamic coefficients.
