Application of the ordinary graphical methods such as Piper and Stiff diagrams for classifying hydrochemical samples has come limitations especially when the numbers of the samples are high. In this cases application of multi-variable statistical methods can be useful.Gol-Gohar iron ore mine has working levels about 60 meters below water table now. This mine is suffered from groundwater seepage, and so, drainage is a major concern in this mine. To study the hydrogeology of the mining area, water samples were collected from wells and seepage surfaces during several stages. Samples were sent to the laboratory to determine their ion concentration, electrical conductivity and acidity. The data were analyzed by graphical methods (Piper and Stiff diagrams) and statistical methods (Cluster analysis, Principle Component analysis and K-Mean clustering). According to the obtained results, the aquifer in the studied area can be divided into three zones, including northern saline front, alluvial zone and mixed zone. The source of saline water in northern front cannot be considered from playa.
