چکیده:

We analyzed the effect of adding nanoclay and HDPE to EVA on the barrier properties of nanoclay/high density polyethylene (HDPE)/ethylene vinyl acetate copolymer (EVA) nanocomposite. Nanocomposite films with 3, 5, and 7 wt% nanoclay and 5, 10 and 20 wt% HDPE were prepared using the one – step and two – step solvent preparation method. The structure of the nanocomposite film was evaluated by X-Ray diffraction (XRD) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM). The results exhibited that nanocomposites are intercalated but the use of two solvents (xylene and chloroform) induces more intercalation of nanoclay
