چکیده:

Liquid desiccants are used to improve indoor air quality and to decrease the energy consumption of the air conditioning system. In this paper chemical dehumidification of air by a liquid desiccant in a total heat and mass exchanger was investigated by modeling of such a system. the estimated decrease in air humidity and temperature of the fresh ambient air flowing inside using liquid desiccant heat exchanger was studied. The liquid desiccants applied were H2O/LiBr, H2O/LiCl and H2O/CaCl2 solutions. The estimated effectiveness of such a system using various liquid desiccants was estimated to be about 53.9 percent.
