Polyaniline/polyacrylonitrile (PAn/PANr) nanocomposite was prepared in the aqueous solution by copolymerization of acrylonitrile and aniline using potassium dichromate (K2Cr2O7) and potassium persulfate (K2S2O8) as an oxidant in the presence of various surfactants such as poly(vinyl alcohol), hydroxypropylcellulose, and surfactive dopant sodium dodecylbenzenesulfonate. The resulting product was characterized in terms of morphology, conductivity and chemical structure. The results indicate that the morphology, conductivity and chemical structure of products are dependent on the type of surfactant.
