چکیده:

In this paper a novel method for band gap engineering in Fibonacci quasi-periodic structures based on an introducing defect layers is presented. We show that parameters of defect layers and position inside Fibonacci-class quasi-periodic structure can be used for control of band gap in the proposed structure. It is shown that using the index of refraction of defect layer, a tuneable narrowband transmission filter based on band pass reflective designed filter for DWDM applications can be proposed.
