چکیده:

Dynamic response of transmission tower structures with passive or active damping is important in terms of performance under a dynamic load. Structural unstability mostly arises as the result of losing the energy capacity in the system, which forces the system to act as a mechanism. The purpose of this paper is to presentthe spectral element method for dynamic analysis of transmission tower structures.
Using a mathematical formulation, an efficient method has been developed to analysis large space structures under dynamic loads. The linear and non-linear dynamic characteristics of large towers may also be defined using an advanced spectral theory. The proposed method has then been extended to derive the dynamic response of a large transmission tower structure using a computer program
