In this paper the hydromechanical deep drawing and the effect of friction in the process has been studied using FE method. To verify the results of FE simulations, an experimental study has been used in a specific friction condition. Numerical results indicate a working zone with a maximum chamber pressure in which the maximum limit drawing ratio can be achieved. Numerical result shows that increasing the friction between blank and die or blank and blank holder decrease the LDR value while increasing the friction between blank and punch increase the LDR value.
