چکیده:

In this work removal of sulfate ions from industrial wastewater by anion-exchange resin is studied experimentally. The equilibrium data obtained in this study have been found to fit the Freundlich adsorption isotherms. The effects of various important and influencing parameters such as flow rate, bed height and inlet adsorbate concentration on breakthrough curve are studied in detail. Also it is shown that the adsorption of sulfate ion on Lewatit K6362 resin follows reversible first-order kinetics. The overall rate constants were estimated for different initial concentrations.
