چکیده:

In order to evaluate life-span-cost of RC structure for life-cycle-design, it is important to take possible damage into account in life span of the structure and determine repair method and relevant cost. Meanwhile, it is necessary to analyze reliability and bearing capacity of the structure during whole life. This research builds a life-cycle-design system of RC structure in which damage details can be obtained by nonlinear finite
element analysis. Therefore, repair scheme, repair quantity and relevant cost can be calculated by such damage details as damage location, yielding of reinforcement and cracking of concrete. The bearing capacity including deformation and damage detailscan be obtained by nonlinear finite element analysis. Based on above considerations,serviceability, maintenance intervention series and repair scheme of the RC structure
can be determined and so does the relevant life-cycle-cost. In this paper, a case study is presented to demonstrate the whole process of this system.
