چکیده:

Long-term load forecasting is the essential requirement in power system expansion planning. Forecasting techniques may be divided into two broad classes, conventional and modern techniques. The former may be based on extrapolation, correlation and combination of both. While the latter may be based on artificial neural network approach, expert system approach and hybrid which is combination of both. The objective of research work reported in this paper was the development of a long-term load forecasting using the last approach, artificial neural network plus expert system, which was robust and accurate. In order to efficiency evaluation of the developed system the data of Iran are inputed to it and obtained results are evaluated by the field experts. Those are finally reported at the end of this paper.
