Heterogeneity (calc-alkali, subalkali and alkali) of Mesozoic volcanic complexes of Middle Kura depression (MKD), characterizing by prevalence of calc-alkali and subalkali series where one can find similarity with series developed in different geotectonic settings was revealed. When comparing magmatic complexes of the MKD and Lesser Caucasus there was revealed lots of similarity in their tectonic-magmatic development, nature of magmatism, age of volcanites, seriel and their formation’s belonging . It had been established, that these structures in Mesozoic represented a single paleobasin where Mesozoic volcanism was developed in different geotectonic setting. Basic regularity of rock formation, series differing from each other is associated with change in time of calc-alkali series – subalkali and then alkali that is typical for magmatism of recent island arcs (IA) and active continental margins (CM). On the whole one can observe the following order of volcanic series and geodynamic setting corresponding to them: calk-alkali extended (basalt-andesite-rhyolite) – indicator of frontal zone or highlypotassium calk-alkali short (high-alumina basalt-andesite-basalt) – indicator of axle zone, shoshonite-latite – indicator of rear zone, alkalibasalt – indicator of riftogenesis. Such serial variety is obviously associated with heterogeneity of the earth crust under MKD.
