Filtration lost and lost circulation in drilled payzone during drilling operation are cause of lost of million dollars in oil and gas drilling industry. In addition they cause todamage hydrocarbon reservoirs in terms of reduction in productivity of a drilled well and increasing the costly operation of well stimulation. Since one of the most important of this damage is particle dispersion, a new mathematical modeling of mud dispersion has been investigated in this work. The advantages of this model consist of a new analytical correlation for dispersivity by using resistivity log data, a new aspect of capacitance dispersion model especially at a low velocity, finite and a heterogeneous formation and using the lost circulation rate to predict the mud velocity. Actual well drilling and log data of Iranian south sector reservoir were used, and this model was solved by numerical simulation. The results had good accuracy.
