چکیده:

The meshless local Petrov-Galerkin (MLPG) method with unity as the test function has been applied to the Navier-Stokes equations for laminar flows. The penalty function formulation has been employed to eliminate the pressure from the governing equations. Different two-dimensional benchmark examples have been solved using the proposed method and the results are compared with the available analytical solutions and thenumerical results obtained by other numerical methods.
