چکیده:

In this paper an attempt has been made to introduce the design of microprocessor based multi tarrif metering system for load management purposes. The meter is programmable and can implement different tarrifs for residential, commercial, and industrial loads within 24hours
of normal days, as well as special events (eg: weekends & holidays). The meter is also capable to rank those heavy loaded consumers during shortage of supply in order to implement local load shedding.
