چکیده:

Nanocrystalline WC-Co cemented carbides are high wear resistance and hard materials with suitable toughness that are used in different industries such as cutting tools and drawing die [1]. The WC-10Co nanocomposite powders could be fabricated by different techniques such as mechanical alloying [2]. Controlling of WC grain growth during liquid phase sintering is one of the important points to improve the mechanical properties. Average grain size plays an important role on the mechanical properties. Also, high surface and interface energy provide a strong driving force for grain growth. If the grain growth during the sintering process is controlled, the WC grain size after sintering can be reduced about 400 nm. So in order to inhibit grain growth and achieve ultra fine grain size of WC-Co, some transition metal carbides such as VC, Mo2C, Cr3C2 and TaC are added to initial WC-Co powders as grain growth inhibitors [3].In this research, the effect of Mo2C grain growth inhibitors with various contents (0.3, 0.6 and 1%wt) on the microstructure and mechanical properties have been investigated
