چکیده:

The deposition of asphaltene is considered to be one of the most difficult problems during oil production. The presence of asphaltene in crude oil and consequently adsorption and deposition of asphaltene on the surface of the rocks has some effects on the properties of rock such as porosity, permeability and wettabillity.In this study a model for the simultaneous deposition of asphaltene in porous media in core test was developed. The corresponding numerical model is developed using implicit scheme. Because the numerical model is strongly coupled, iteration method was used to solve the equations. A computer program was prepared to solve the numerical model; the model was verified using experimental data. At the end an experiment was performed to study the amount of asphaltene deposited in porous medium and study the effect of deposition on rock properties and validated the model by using this experimental data
