چکیده:

Structured packed columns have attracted more attentions in the last two decades due to their numerous advantages however, there still exist many problems including complex parameters, nonlinear variables, limited validity of models which strictly depends on packing geometry and
column conditions. Moreover, the models are valid only in some specified operating region. In this paper we used the idea of modeling trickle bed reactors in modeling structured packed columns having made some changes to the model, the goal was to achieve a complete model to be
able to predict hydrodynamic parameters of a structured packed columns. In order to validate the model, the results of the model were compared to experimental data as well as those obtained from Sulpak software.
