چکیده:

The extraction of nimbin from neem seeds using supercritical carbon dioxide is investigated in this paper. A model that accounts for intraparticle diffusion (De) and external mass transfer of nimbin (kf) is presented for the supercritical extraction process. The following range of conditions: 0.24– ۱٫۲۴cm3/min of CO2, 10–۲۶MPa, 308–۳۳۳K, 1.0–۲٫۵g of neem kernel powder and 0.0575–۰٫۱۸۵cm of particle size of neem kernel powder, were considered. Proposed model was solved numerically and results were successfully validated with experimental data.
