چکیده:

This article demonstrates experimental investigations of the influence of cutting parameters on wire electrode wear in WEDM. It is found experimentally that the increasing peak power and open circuit voltage increased the wire wear whereas the increasing wire speed decreases it. Also Morphological studies have been conducted by studying the lateral and cross-sectional surfaces of worn wire. The wire specimens were suitably mounted on bakelite moulds. Wherever required before their examination under the microscope.
