Extensive research is currently underway to develop supported metallocene-based catalysts for their good activity and selectivity in olefin polymerization. Because of metallocene interactions with surface of zeolitic materials,supporting them is a unique route for preparation of heterogenous nanocatalysts.In this paper the main methods for preparation of nanoporous silica (SBA-15 and MCM-41) was investigated and purity and crystallinity of prepared supports were confirmed by XRD and SEM . Finally supported catalysts was prepared by grafting Cp2ZrCl2 on these supports to give materials potentially active in the polymerization of olefins.The morphology and surface properties of supported nanocatalysts have been studied by XRD,thermal analysis and BET surface area and pore volume measurements.The grafting of the metallocene complexes have been followed by FTIR spectroscopy.The catalytic activity of these heterogenous nanocatalysts is under investigation.
