چکیده:

Adding sharp-edged slender delta-wing-shaped strakes significantly modify flow pattern in vicinity of a wing through generation of vortex lift. The strakes improve the lift-to-drag ratio of the baseline wing favorably influence the near-field roll up of the wing trailing vortices. Based on limited flow-experimented results, effects of various configurations of the tip strakes on the wing aerodynamics are unknown. To overcome these issues, a multi-layer neural-network is available. Experimental data are used for the neural-network training. After training, the effects of movable tip strakes and wing aerodynamics can be predicted. Results can be used for developing the application of movable tip strakes.
