چکیده:

This paper introduces a new short circuit calculation method for low voltage (20 Kv) distribution networks This new method is specially developed for distribution feeders, taking into account thier particular charactristics, resulting in orders of magnitude reduction in CPU time consumption as compared with existing short circuit programs. In the ordinary short circuit programs network impedance matrix is calculated in a step by step manner and then used to calculate the network voltages in an iterative method.
Basically this new method uses a very fast noniterative load flow algorithm to calculate both the network impedance matrix and the network voltages, thus reducing the number of operations termendously.
