چکیده:

In this work the catalytic properties of a chromium based of Ni/Cu hydrotalcite of formula NixCu6-xCr2(OH)16CO3.4H2O have been used to study the acetone hydrogenation in gas phase. Hydrotalcites in which M 2+ consist of Cu and Ni form important precursors for mixed catalysts. One of the most important applications of these mixed metal oxides metal-oxide is in catalytic hydrogenation of ketones. Therefore, the catalytic behavior of synthetic hydrotalcites with the above formula was studied in acetone hydrogenation in order to determine the optimum process conditions for the synthesis of isopropyl alcohol in high yield and conversion. Ni-Cu-Cr hydrotalcite-like compounds (HTlcs) were synthesized by a co-precipitation method. The hydrogenation of acetone to isopropyl alcohol was investigated in atmospheric pressure over the calcined HTlcs. The conversion of acetone and selectivity to isopropyl alcohol on these kinds of catalysts at 90 C in average are 98.4 and 98.9%, respectively.
