چکیده:

When a liquid, flows into a region where its pressure is reduced to vapor pressure, it boils and vapor pockets develop in it. According to the flow conditions and geometry, different types of cavitation with different desirable and undesirable features occur. In the present study, steady flow fields including sheet type of cavitation around a single hydrofoil for which experimental results are available as well as flow around an arbitrary wing and body configuration, were numerically simulated and accordingly, the effects of cavitation on the hydrodynamic coefficients of the bodies are analyzed.
