Fluid flow and mass transfer in a 90° bend was investigated numerically. The RNG version of k–ε model was used for turbulence prediction. Maximum mass transfer rate was predicted at a distance one diameter downstream of the elbow. Numerical analysis results are in good agreement with experimental results obtained from literature.
