چکیده:

Seabed pipelinechannels are of the more important examples of dredged trenches over the seabed. Rate of backfilling of these trenches is of primary importance in investigating maintenance costs of the structure. In this paper, the flow over dredged channels in numerically simulated by a model, which solved two-dimensional (2DV) from of hydrodynamic equations of steady flow in non-prthogonal curvilinear coordinate by finite volume method.To close the equations, the k-є turbulent model is used. Due to higher accuracy of SOU scheme (second-degree accurate) compared to POW scheme (first-degree accurate) and more numerical diffusion of the POW scheme, SOU is adopted here. Comparison of numerical results with that of an experimental work done by the authors shows fairly good agreement.
