In this research, the possibility of designing a new structure for investment casting SLA patterns is investigated via a numerical analysis. The couple thermal mechanical analysis has been done for both Quickcast 2.0 Offset Hexagon and new Offset Bridge-like Octagon by Ansys Workbench 11.0 finite element software. New structural units are suggested, while parameters such as the ceramic shell cracking, drainage characteristic, the void ratio or Rv for structures, and deviation of new structure during burnout stage are considered. The results of new octagonstructure show that, there is a 62% reduction for hoop stresses on the ceramic shell, and void ratio improved from 90% to 93% for Quickcast 2.0 and new Offset Octagon structures respectively.
