چکیده:

This paper presents a study on optimization of absorption tower to enhance its performance. A mathematical model of the absorber is used for specify different parameters. Here quadratic performance function was used as a method for optimization. Initially, different profiles were found by using a computer program that was written in MATLAB, then an objective function was defined and the optimum point was specified. The optimum height was 58.7m whereas the design height was 57.2, so error is about 2.555% that is acceptable.
