چکیده:

One of the problems faced in turning processes is the elastic deformation of the workpiece due to the cutting forces fesulting in the actual depth of cut being different than the desirable one. In this paper , the problem of determining the workpice elastic deflection is addressed from this point of view : the evaluation of elastic deflection in a cylindrical workpice usint an optimization technique , based on Ant Colony Algorithm (ACO), to optimize the cutting parameters in turning processes . To demonstrate the procedure , reliability and vertification of this approach , an application sample is developed and its results are analyzed for several different production conditions.
