چکیده:

The present study examines the merits of an earlier developed energy-based fatigue model in fatigue life prediction of non-proportionally loaded materials. The model incorporates multiaxial fatigue life prediction to the upper and lower life limits, representing fatigue life data for torsional and axial loading, respectively. To construct cyclic stress-strain curves, cyclic plasticity models of modified Mroz and Garud have been employed. Results of fatigue life prediction for AISI 304 and Inc 718 alloys subjected to non-proportional loading condition showed good agreement as compared with experimental life data of these materials reported in the literature.
