چکیده:

Seismic hazard remains difficult to assess in regions of low strain rates. A major limitation often relates to the lack of large instrumentally recorded events that preclude any comparison between seismological data and paleoseismic or morphotectonic observations. The large. Ms=7.1, Struma earthquake that struck the siuthern sdge of stable Eurasia on 4 April 1904, allow us ti investigate if morphotectonic and paleoseismic observations can provide a reliable estimate of the seismic potential of slow slipping fault.
