چکیده:

In this study, a new type of membranes composed of interpenetrating polymeric and inorganic particle
matrices has been introduced as mixed matrix membranes. a new method was applied for the fabrication of
PDMS/5A- Zeolite membranes and their performance in separation of hydrocarbon isomers was
investigated at different zeolite loadings. No improvement with respect to the ideal and real selectivity of the
original polymeric membrane could be obtained for the investigated mixed matrix membranes. This trend
can be due to the weak interactions occurring in the zeolite–polymer interface which play a significant role in
the results obtained.
