چکیده:

A versatile envelope distribtftion which generali:es many commonly used models for multipath and shadow fading is the so-called generalized Gamma (GG) distribution. In this paper, we present an approximate analytical method for performance analysis of equal gain combining (EGC) receiver oyer independent GG facling channels LVe ttse a convergent infinile series approach which makes it possible to describe the probability of error of EGC receiver in the form of an infinite series In this paper, we develop a netv approximation method for computation of the required coefficienls of this series vhich only needs the mean and the variance of the fading envelop. By means of the proposed method, the probability of
error of the EGC receiver over GG fading channel is analyzed.
