چکیده:

This paper reports the results of a study done on the performance of crumb rubber in concrete with silica fume. Concrete mixtures were made with various percentages of replacement of crumb rubber into concrete. The provided concrete with crumb rubber and silica fume was tested under compressive strength and for durability of concrete by immersion in acid and alkaline solutions for 28 days. The results of such laboratory tests were analyzed and brief discussions are presented. Results show that the compressive strength of the concrete samples was decreased due to the addition of crumb rubber. Furthermore, curing of the samples in acid sulfuric and salt was sharply reduced durability of the concrete in compared to curing in water. Addition of crumb rubber reduced workability but did not influence the water absorption
