چکیده:

( Liquid + liquid ) equilibrium (LLE) data for (water + 1-hexanol + tert-butyl alcohol (TBA)) have been determined experimentally at temperatures ranging from 298.15 to 305.15 K and 1 atm. Phase diagrams were obtained by determining solubility and tie-line data .Tie-line compositions were correlated by Othmer–Tobias and Bachman methods.The universal quasichemical activity coefficient (UNIQUAC) model were used to predict the phase equilibrium in the system using the interaction parameters determined from experimental data. The results obtained in this work were satisfactory and they were in accordance with root means square deviation (RMSD%) .The effect of 1-hexanol addition on mutual solubility of tert-butyl alcohol and water was also investigated at different temperatures. Distribution coefficients and separation factors were evaluated for the immiscibility region.
