چکیده:

Understanding the deformation of simple structures under blast loading plays an important role in designing of a reliable structure. In this survey, the maximum deflection of a fully clamped circular plate subjected to underwater Explosion has been calculated assuming two conditions: first ignoring the strain rate effect, then, taking it into account. Experiments have been conducted on 5010 Aluminium and St37 Plates. The results are compared to empirical relations offered by Nurick [7] and Rajendran [9]. The results show reasonable agreement with theoretical predictions, especially when strain rate effect is considered. Moreover, new material constants are introduced for this aluminium alloy.
