چکیده:

This paper presents the analysis studies on masonry infilled panels. An analytical methods that has been developed recently, was applied on some experimental models for the evaluation cracking pattern and shear strength of infill panels, to demonstrate the capability of the method. This method is based on minimizing the factor of safety with reference to the failure surfaces. This method can also be used to determine the shear strength parameters. In addition , the method was extended for reinforced infilled frames with horizontal reinforcement . Finite element analysis was carries out to determine stress distribution in infill panel. The brick and mortar layers were modeled separately. And the calibrated modulus of elasticity on infill materials were used in the modeling.
