چکیده:

In this paper, the influence of mechanical activation of the mixture basic MgCO3–amorphous SiO2 on reaction of nanocrystalline forsterite (Mg2SiO4) powder formation was studied with and without the presence of fluorine ion. The preparation procedure consisted of two steps: high-energy ball milling and thermal treatment. The powders were characterised using thermogravimetric analysis (TGA), scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and X-ray diffraction (XRD).
