Today gasochromic properties in the sense of chemochromic by hydrogen gas are interested to study because of novel applications in energy saving and gas sensors. In this study tungsten oxide nanostructured films were fabricated by Pulsed Laser Deposition (PLD) using WO3 targets in different conditions. Pd nanoclusters as a catalytic overlayer were deposited by electro-less plating of PdCl2 solution. We first study the effect of various deposition conditions on the film,s structure, optical properties and morphology and then the effect of palladium growth time on the gasochromic response. As our results indicates, oxygen pressure and substrate temperature have special role in the desirable properties of the films. Also, the suitable time for Pd deposition in the experimental condition was determined to achieve better gasochromic response.
