چکیده:

Anti-fog coating improves visibility of transparent window glasses by preventing condensation of water droplets and converting them into a uniform thin film spreads out on the surface. Organic-inorganic nanocomposite hybrid coatings have been prepared by sol-gel process; these coatings have a set of interesting mechanical and chemical properties, due to the presence of organic-inorganic networks in their structure. In this work, hydrophilic coating materials are prepared based on glycidioxypropyltrime thoxysilane (GPTMS) in the presence of surfactant and aminothylaminopropyltrimethoxy silane (AEA) in the sol-gle process. In this process, hydrolysis an condensation of the inorganic precursors result in the formation of silica nano particles, the same material that glass is made from, to create hydrophilic nanocomposite coatings. Then, coatings of the samples were carried out by using dip-coating technique on the glass substrates. Characterizations of the coatings have been performed by fourier transform infrared (FTIR). Scanning electron microscopy (SEM), Si mapping and Atomic force microscopy (AFM). FTIR results indicate network forming reaction and also improvement of the inorganic phase. Hydrophilic properties of the coatings were analyzed by contact angle measurements and contact angles of less than 5 ane observed less than 5. Morphological studies with SEM show good adhesion between surface and coating and Atomic force microscopy (AFM) studies confirmed the presence of 20-100 nm particles in the surface of coatings
